Foot Prints

Lady slipper
on a sandy hill
halfway down stairs
to the beach.

Delicate wild flower
appears unbidden,
resists transplanting,
hides under brambles.

A ballerina in the shade--
yellow toe extended
on a a green leg--
is easily missed.

  1. Very nice, Ann! I will think of your poem when I see our lady slippers here in the woods. They will be out soon!

I hope all is well with both of you? I miss you!
